Featuring issues March – July 1951 Issues 6-10  and printed on comic book-esque paper complete with glossy inserts for the covers, these are the closest thing to reading the original comics from back in the 1950s.

Ah, if only real life was like the panels in this one! The delectable heroine drops jaws as often as she drops wrongdoers….

Sandra Knight, the daughter of Senator Henry Knight, is a Washington D.C. socialite who fights crime as the costumed heroine known as the Phantom Lady. She has no super powers. She is, however, a skilled fighter and uses a blacklight ray (like the Owl) to project darkness and make herself invisible. She was engaged to Don Borden, the agent of the State Department’s counter-intelligence division – though the fact that she was engaged didn’t stop Sandra from occasionally flirting with other men.

About Phantom Lady Volume One…
Due to be published late January 2013, we have taken all the stories from the 1940’s and collated them into a sumptuous 2 volume set. Volume One contains all the Phantom Lady stories between August 1941 to December 1947 culled from Quality Comic Group’s Police Comic Issues 1 – 23 and Fox Feature Publications – Phantom Lady Issues 13 – 15. It also features a brand new introduction from legendary comics writer/editor and our very own Series Consultant Roy Thomas.
